The Power of Cutting-Edge Equipment at BR Printers
BR Printers has been growing rapidly throughout the past few years. This growth has developed into a powerful force that is felt throughout the whole company. With new acquisitions, team members, product offerings, target audiences, capacity, and locations, we have embraced change wholeheartedly. Our amazing team of people have risen to the occasion, increasing customer satisfaction with new offerings and competitive advantages. Among the significant areas of growth at BR Printers is our investment in state-of-the-art equipment. While we have articles diving into each of these equipment additions, here you can find an overview of all BR’s recent equipment installations.
RMGT 8-Color 9 Series Perfecting Offset Press
We are thrilled about the successful installation of the RMGT 8-color 9 Series perfecting offset press in Cincinatti. This addition solidifies our reputation for high-quality, full-color printing, providing us with an edge in the market. Equipped with advanced technology, such as Benford LED curing for rapid drying and INSTA.COLOR makeready technology with SMART simultaneous auto plate changing, the new press ensures seamless production and smooth transitions between jobs. With the ability to produce book and catalog quantities ranging from 50 to 50,000 copies, the RMGT 9 Series replaces an older press that served Ohio for over three decades.
According to Tim Ruppert, President of BR Ohio, the new press significantly enhances our capacity, allowing us to efficiently compete in the shorter run 4-color book market. Its maximum speed of 13,000 sheets per hour and perfecting capabilities for double-sided work further boost production speed and flexibility. The strategic investment in the RMGT 920PF-8+LED aligns perfectly with BR’s growth trajectory, enabling us to maintain a competitive advantage in the industry.
Two HP PageWide Web Presses T240 HD
BR’s successful journey with HP PageWide Web Presses began with the installation of the HP T230 in San Jose, California, followed by the addition of HP T240 presses. David Gall, Vice President of BR West and Chief Strategy Officer of BR Printers, had a clear vision for these equipment installations: to create a connected solution that complements our offset facilities, accelerates production, and delivers high-quality prints. The new HP digital presses have not only met but surpassed our objectives, allowing us to achieve impressive results.
According to Adam DeMaestri, CEO and President of BR Printers, the introduction of these presses has opened up new possibilities for our clients, enabling high-volume and high-quality digital printing, which translates to greater returns on investment for print projects. The incorporation of HP PageWide Web Presses has not only strengthened our digital redundancy nationwide but also streamlined our manufacturing process and optimized our supply chain efficiency. Greg Fredwest, Plant Manager at BR Printers, echoes the sentiment, expressing how the new digital print additions have enhanced our agility, innovation, and resilience in the fiercely competitive market.
In addition to their performance benefits, these installations align with our sustainability efforts. The HP PageWide Web Presses T240 HD come equipped with energy-efficient features, such as automatic shut-off, power-saving modes, and the utilization of water-based inks. This commitment to sustainability further solidifies our dedication to responsible practices in the printing industry. The investments in cutting-edge technologies have not only strengthened our digital print portfolio but also demonstrated our unwavering commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our diverse customer base.
