With over three decades of distinguished leadership experience, Jorge boasts a rich background across diverse print sectors such as education, trade, direct mail, publishing, fulfillment, and supply chain solutions. Jorge is an avid Peloton rider and enjoys outdoor activities with his German Sheppard, Apollo. Traveling with his wife is the other passion that makes him happy, in addition to everything related to print.
Cristy Abella
Chief Financial Officer
Building on a technical foundation from public accounting, Cristy provides financial support proven to deliver results. A specialist in the consumer products sector, she creates business plans, financial models, and strategies that maximize growth and profitability. You’d think bean counting and performing excel magic would indicate right brain dominance, but you’ll be surprised to know Cristy flexes the left side in appreciation of creative outlets like dance, photography, and music.
David Gall
Chief Operating Officer, BR West
David believes the strongest manufacturing arm within the BR family is on the west coast, under his leadership. When he’s not working with his teams to deliver high quality products that delight customers, David enjoys reading and long walks on the beach. He has also been known to be a positive vocal enthusiast for his children at their sporting events when not coaching.
John Edwards
Chief Operating Officer, BR East
John has spent his entire life in book manufacturing and is passionate about print and its impact on society. He enjoys the teamwork aspect of the business as well as problem-solving and process improvement. John is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan and in his spare time enjoys playing golf and attending Michigan football and basketball games. He has been married for 30 years and has three grown children. He resides in Ann Arbor, MI (go blue)!
Robert Testa
Chief Sales Officer
Robert has served in sales leadership positions in the graphics and packaging industry, including global supply chain solutions, for over 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Outside of his professional career, Robert has become what is known as a “pickleball banger,” often advising his opponents to wear protective eyewear.
Adam Rothenberger
Chief Information Officer
As Chief Information Officer at BR, Adam Rothenberger specializes in delivering optimized, scalable technology solutions that enhance workforce productivity and streamline operations. With a passion for systems integration and innovative tech strategies, Adam drives the implementation of cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of BR and its customers. When not leading tech initiatives, he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring new adventures.
Steve Crile
Vice President, Fulfillment & Kitting Operations
Steve joins BR with 20 plus years of logistics and distribution experience in the publishing industry with tenure at Simon & Schuster Education, MacMillan CP and Cengage Learning amongst others. A customer satisfaction driver, he is passionate about delivering measurable improvements to logistics operations. Steve has bachelor’s in finance and economics from the University of Kentucky and an MBA from Butler University. He enjoys spending time with his daughter and cheering on Kentucky basketball.
Bob Durgy
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Leveraging his strong and deep publishing and printing relations in the US and UK, Bob’s passion is seeking business that fits BR well. He is a hunter true to his assignment—target, close and hand off accounts to the sales team. With travel curtailed, Bob’s been homebound with his wife, 3 college undergraduates and new puppy. When not building client relationships, Bob enjoys skiing, playing golf and tennis, and drinking fine wines.
Andrew Parker
Director of Marketing
Andrew applies his experience in marketing, branding, media, and content to drive awareness of BR’s expanding solutions and product offerings. His professional ambitions are inspired by creativity, ingenuity, and collaboration in team environments. He works closely with the entirety of BR’s executive leadership to plan and forecast market strategy to best serve our current and future clients. In his free time, you can spot AP cruising up the Southern California coastline searching for the best breaks to surf and the finest hole-in-the-wall restaurants to dine.
Greg Fredwest
Plant Manager, Kentucky
A 36 year veteran in web and sheetfed commercial, and digital print, Greg’s diverse knowledge spans bindery, scheduling, production, customer service, and plant management operations. He’s enjoying his 9 years at BR Printers learning and growing in a digital environment, promoting a team environment where everyone is empowered to make good customer and business-based decisions. Outside of work, Greg likes to spend time with his daughters and grandkids. Food is another of Greg’s passions, having 6 years of culinary experience as a chef. He also enjoys hiking, primitive camping, and photography.
Reza Takeshi
San Jose Plant and West Coast Operations Manager
With over 20 years of experience in traditional and digital printing, wide format, screen printing, mailing, packaging, fulfillment and logistics, Reza believes BR’s greatest asset is our employees. He maintains the only way to be the best at anything is by challenging yourself by thinking out side of the box , learning fast, planning and executing by working smart.
Out of the plant, Reza enjoys traveling with his family, watching Formula One, and a good single malt whiskey.
Philip Kemppainen
President, National Graphic Solutions (NGS)
Philip, President at NGS for the past 13 years, is a proven business leader with close to 30 years of industry experience. He relishes meeting customers and showing them around the facility. They are always impressed with the genuineness of the employees, and willingness to get the job done! Off-time is spent with his wife, twin daughters, and golden retriever, Jade. Phil plays guitar, rides a Harley-Davidson, and enjoys all sports, especially downhill skiing.
Mary Herrera
Director of Sales, Casa del Mar
The one with an ‘eagle eye’, Mary’s attention to detail catapults her to the next level with clients. She leads and encourages her team by providing the tools to be efficient, creative, and successful, while still having a client-focused mind; all in which deliver sales success. Although she loves to say black is her favorite color, this proves differently when she is in the kitchen cooking fine meals from all of the colors of the rainbow.

Director of Operations, Casa del Mar
With over 25 years of experience in the Promo Industry, Kevin has proven to be a master of his craft. His knowledge of all areas of the business, from product knowledge to profitability, allows him to continue to push the needle and take risks to maximize our capabilities and streamline our processes for overall success. When he’s not crunching numbers on a spreadsheet, you can find him on the golf course or spending time with his family in Hawaii.
Javier Marfil
Vice President, Denver Operations
The leader of our Denver operation, Javier possesses an exceptional background and skill set. With more than 12 years of experience in fulfillment/3PL solutions, his keen focus is on customer service and creating efficiencies. Originally from Spain, Javier’s bilingual advantage has enabled him to build a cohesive and strong team made up of a diverse group of people. He is affectionately called, “the fastest walker and hardest worker on Earth.”

With a wealth of knowledge in the print industry, Steve Larson spearheads operations at BR Commercial Print Group in Denver, Colorado. Steve’s commitment to exceptional quality, client satisfaction, and production efficiency has cemented his reputation as an industry frontrunner in commercial print, direct and political mailing. He empowers his team to grow as skilled print and marketing professionals ready to deliver on jobs of any size.
Tom Vargas
President, Epic Labeling Solutions
Tom has been in the printing industry for over 45 years. At a young age, he first learned typesetting with movable lead type. Over the years, he has operated 40” to 77” sheetfed and web presses, die cutters, and folder gluers.
His love for printing continues in Labels. Tom opened Epic Label Solutions to ensure customers receive the very best “Epic” service, get their labels fast, and most importantly, that they are “Epic” satisfied.
When he’s not making Epic labels, he enjoys cooking for family and friends and spending time with his wife and boys.
Kathryn Torre
Director, Human Resources
Kathy is the grand dame of BR, with a tenure of 25 years (she obviously started when she was a child). She has worked in many areas of the company, finally settling (at least for now) in Human Resources. Outside of the workplace, Kathy spends time with her 2 grown children and recently added son-in-law. Kathy welcomed her first grandchild over the holidays, a lucky little boy certain to be doted upon.
